coincidentally this was the first horror movie I saw in theatres my dad never let me watch much scary stuff growing up cause he was scared I'd have nightmares I'd watch R.L. Stines Goosebumps on Saturday mornings but that's it. before I'd saw this i'd never seen any of the Nightmare On Elm Street or Friday The 13th films so I honestly had no clue what I was seeing all I'd heard was movies featuring Freddy Krueger & Jason Voorhees were too violent & gory for someone as young as me . I was in 6th grade when I saw Freddy vs Jason I was only 11 or 12 so I was still pretty young for my age. after I saw FVJ for the first time I fell in love with it so much that I saw it 5 more times I saw it a total of 6 times in theatres
